Martin Sumers (1922-2012) is arguably one of the most accomplished and expressive artists of the 20th century. By profession, Sumers was a printmaker in New York City. The discovery of his private works upon his death showed another side to Sumers-a side that was almost singularly focused on interpretation of the female figure.
This signed Martin Sumers figural ink drawing rests upon a linen mount and in a textured brass and wood frame featuring glare-free quality museum glass. Pair this piece with other Martin Sumers drawings here.
